Much better than I expected! In the first 3 months of the year I invoiced almost as much as in 2016 and I must say that last year wasn't bad at all. I haven't stopped working (weekends included) since the beginning of December. I'll have a well-deserved break this week...

I have one client who used to send me translations for a fruit and vegetable magazine every two months, but I haven't heard anything from him yet this year. It's just as well, because I'm up to my ears in work anyway and have a several thousand word backlog of my most time-consuming work (software strings).

The regulars doing their regular thing, some jobs from some new clients, and spring springing up all around ... all in all, life is good.

I've reached the point where I can turn down work that I don't want to do and not worry about the consequences. And I have begun quoting higher rates to the new agencies reaching out to me (and they are accepting them). All in all, it's going pretty well.
