Yes, I would... Dec 25, 2017

I would keep on working but I would be even pickier regarding clients than I am already… Happy holidays to you all!

If I were younger, I'd definitely say "Yes."

The problem with clients is that you can't afford to be too picky. You have to take what they send you or sooner or later they put you at the bottom of their list.

I like the structure of having translation in my life, and the money is important. But at this point I'm seeing things I might not get to do if I keep on translating as much as I am now.

A million dollars can disappear quite quickly, by the way.

Because once the government has taken its share, there won't be a million left. And since they're taking their share every year of what is left of the million, it might not last all that long. After all, the government wants to live too.

But I would definitely take a really long vacation, and won't accept any rush jobs for a while.

Can we make it at least ten? Dec 25, 2017

A life-changing amount a million bucks is certainly not. Where I live, it hardly buys a decent apartment these days.

I don't just work for the money. I like to be needed too.

Happy Christmas!

One needs some kind of productive activity to live well. Becoming rich (which would require more than a million dollars) does not mean you'll sit and do nothing or just travel around. If you don't produce, you'll die a lot earlier. So the million dollars can't make you live less. It should be the other way around.
