Once I tried it (and several others), but didn't like the interface, the structure, many annoying and distracting things, let alone random data leaks and 'secret' experiments. After some two weeks I successfully forgot the password and banned FB notifications as spam.
Not even considering such fairytales where a hacker who should be in prison suddenly becomes a "one-man success" idol.

I don't really like Facebook, but I recently re-joined to see what the ProZ Facebook group is like.

Mainly to keep up with what friends and family are doing. I also play a scrabble-type word game and a quiz on the FB platform.
BTW, since yesterday, I keep getting a "Posting not yet approved" message on proz. I wonder why...

Like Yetta, for personal use, but not all the time. Why is there not that option?
I mean, we're all professionals here, none of us could possibly be using FB all the time!

But I had to start a profile to see what a client was doing, or else I had difficulty with a job...
My profile was very empty and very dormant for several years after that, but I joined a group of colleagues, and some of my family and friends are on FB... So I check it out and even contribute now and then!

Mainly personally, but also professionally (in 2011 and 2012, translating social network games accounted for a substantial chunk of my income).

Never liked it all that much after I signed up for an account. I only posted very short responses four times over the years, and reading what started to pop up in the news re: Facebook, starting a few years ago, I decided to deactivate my account permanently.
I used to like to post on LinkedIn much more, on the translator groups' webpages, but those seem to have fallen by the wayside.

You don't appear to have an active ProZ membership.

I've never understood what the public can or can't see, so I've never published any opinion on anything, just in case servers and datacenters fall in the wrong hands after WWIII.
