Except for a few smallish jobs a year from a Plunet platform for a sporadic agency customer.
I didn't know hard copy jobs still existed.

I have done several assignments for my clients. Most of them are through my mail. It's been a while since I got a job in form of hard copy.

All of it is received via email. Delivering is another matter as sworn translations are sent by snail mail or delivered in person.

Some requests for sworn translation are still coming with smail mail or are deposited in person.

My primary agencies and direct clients use platforms to provide/accept documents. Other clients send/receive documents via e-mail. The latter has been true since the mid-1990s when e-mail became a common method of communication. I don't provide sworn translations, although on very rare occasions – and not all all this century – I've included statements of accuracy, in which case I've sent documents via snail mail after sending copies via e-mail.

It all comes by email, sometimes with the file attached, sometimes with a link to a platform. I would hardly ever accept any physical documents in 2020, anyway.
In Brazil, there is an exception: sworn translators must receive the physicial documents, it's the law. Other than that, I see no reason why physical documents must still be used.
Ok, letters, manuscripts, drats... there are a few exceptions, but I will pass them.

I don't do sworn translations (for reasons not pertinent here), so everything comes in via email. I rely on the email thread to document the terms agreed on, the date the text was received, and the date it was delivered.

I received almost all my work online. In the last 9 years I have only received 2 orders over the phone. There you have my answer.
Since you are a member of the staff, I would like to know: What percentage of all quotes submitted online via the ProZ portal have actually been accepted by the client/agency?

Most of it is sent to me by a PM via e-mail. I also subscribe to a few jobs servers, but I've set them up to send me an e-mail notification whenever a job is available. Once or twice per year I get a phone call from a PM telling me to check my mail because they've sent something and didn't hear from me soon enough. I've also had PMs send me reminders (i.e. reminders that they sent me an e-mail) via WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype and even Facebook Messenger. There are a few jobs servers that I do check manually a few times per day, even though I should also get e-mailed notifications from most of them, just in case I missed a notification. In quite a few cases, the actual files to work on are not sent via e-mail but must be downloaded from a client's portal, be it FTP, RASberry, XTRF, Ingenuity, Plunet, etc., or a client's own developed portal. Sometimes the files are not available via a portal but they are nonetheless not sent as attachments to the mail, but are available as clickable links in the mail, which gets my browser to download the file.
