No Aug 10, 2022

My business plan is in my head. It is quite flexible and has changed over the years according to the market needs and my own circumstances. No need to write it down. It consists essentially on “Translate, keep your clients happy and attract more prospects”.

Well, yes Aug 10, 2022

But I wrote it several years ago, when I first started, and it has changed over the years.

I actually have a recognised qualification in Business Planning.

I used to have a Business Plan when I was practising as an architect.

It was useful and I kept it up to date (because a Business Plan is a live document).

However it was only ever a guide. Things worked out differently and I no longer use it.

I think it was Woody Allen who said "How to make God laugh? Tell him your plans".

I have tried to write one several times... Aug 10, 2022

I do not have a plan as such that I can refer to sections and clauses of.
Basically, I agree to a client´s request if I can, and say sorry, no, if I cannot.

I said no, because for me a business plan is what you show the bank in order to convince them that your plans are serious and worth being lent money for.
Other than that, my plan for my business is to provide the best possible work, delivered in a timely manner, for clients who send me the kind of jobs I do well.
