I have on occasion recommended someone else, when either the language combination or the subject matter is not within my areas of expertise. There are a few translators whom I feel I know well enough to recommend them. I’ve also recommended two colleagues in my language combinations when I’m extremely busy. In the past I have been very grateful to colleagues who recommended me, typically Danes who sent clients to me as an English native speaker.
I get enquiries now and then about translations into Danish, and for anything longer than a sentence or an official form that I know has already been translated, I recommend a colleague.
Even a single sentence might be too much for me, but I know a lot of the standard phrases after living for more than 40 years in Denmark. ... See more
