AFAIK only in-house translators have salaries and these are not as subject to fluctuations as freelancers’ earnings are…

The ability to identify and correct semantic [1] and linguistic [2] errors like the ones in the title of this poll.

[1] Already pointed out by Maria Teresa. A "salary" is a fixed compensation, by definition, and does not fluctuate.

[2] The placing of apostrophes.

I also doubt that they really mean "fluctuations", but with so many errors in a single sentence, it's hard to be sure what they mean. Probably:

I still have no idea how to answer though. Too many variables.
Does a highly qualified, specialised Indonesian legal or finance translator earn more than an English-French subtitler?

Your pay grade and your rank, any bureaucrat would know that.

Only thing is, I can't see the relevance of that fact in a platform meant for freelancers?

Or was there recently a sudden mass intake of in-house translators in the Proz membership that I missed?
