I prefer the English version...

I recently set Indonesian as the display language for all my devices and the websites I visit. If they have a localized version, I'll use it unless it's absolutely unreadable.
| The site is not localized into Danish | Jul 2, 2025 |
Apparently Danish speakers don´t see the need to translate the site into Danish, so we use the English version, which is in my native language anyway.
It reaches a far wider audience.
It has been a couple of years since we last used the Danish forum!

If I am correct, in the profile description, you can translate it in many languages. I did it for my pairs of languages, English and Spanish. I certainly like it!
On the other hand, I have seen the proz.com site localized into Spanish, which is very helpful mainly for those who are starting to use this platform. Nowadays, I feel comfortable to use the proz.com site localized in both the English and Spanish languages.
Excellent localization features!!!

I thought we were talking about the display language? I agree that the “in your profile” part might cause some confusion, though. Visitors don't even need to register a profile to access the localized version, so that doesn't really make sense.

That's why I'm not sure I understand the question. Anyway, since you can't use "the localised version of ProZ.com" on single pages like your profile page, I can only think the feature for localised bio content is meant.

My problem with that interpretation is the poll question could've been worded as “do you localize your ProZ.com profile?” Formulating it like so would better describe that we're supposed to be talking about the bio content.

Yet, the only option to "use a localized version" of ProZ in your profile is to add localised versions of your bio using the tabs feature. https://www.proz.com/settings/freelancer/marketing_promotion/about-me?eid_s=
Otherwise they'd have asked if you use a localised version of ProZ (in general).

See the poll options. They'd make more sense if the pollster was talking about the site's display language.

| No localized version in Portuguese, Portugal | Jul 3, 2025 |
Unfortunately, there is no localized version for Portugal. I have repeatedly asked the Proz team to localize the website with no avail so far. Most importantly, the terminology section makes no distinction between the Portuguese variants making it less effective and accurate when it comes to giving correct and useful suggestions. Hope more pt_PT translators and editors join my request!
| Localized version in my profile? | Jul 3, 2025 |
Apparently, I misunderstood the question, as I was unaware of this feature. Anyway, with the widespread use of English, even some of my French-speaking clients have been writing in English for some time...
