It strikes me that Drew lives on a continent where the main language serves you well for thousands of miles at a time (English in North America, Spanish in most of South America), so the use of two or three languages is not usually relevant for events with a wide catchment area.

Perhaps it is difficult for ProZ staff to understand the situation in other parts of the world where languages sometimes change within a relatively short distance.

When ProZ.com amended the details to permit posting of events there was a need to have some form of definition as to scope. Posting in one Non-English forum was selected as that would cover most needs without opening up the possibility of making infinite posts. Yes, this is perhaps restrictive and not ideal for organizations like MET. It would also, not be ideal to have different rules for different users based on location. Perhaps a non-profit exemption would suffice in this instance.
