It doesn't really work for me like that. I don't operate on a conventional Monday to Friday basis, but try as far as possible to work flat out, seven days per week, when there is plenty of work and rest when there is no work. As such, I am usually least productive on the first day of work after a few days' break and also once fatigue gradually sets in after a few busy weeks, but these could be any particular days of the week. | | | | | Other: No idea! | Oct 21, 2014 |
I don’t keep this kind of statistics. Anyway, I don’t think my productivity is related to the day of the week and I'd venture to say that a large part of my productivity depends on my mood and morale: Did I sleep well? Am I too tired or do I feel good? Etc. Etc. | | | | | the same as Tim | Oct 21, 2014 |
Obviously it's the days when there is no work. Or in terms of work performance, it's the first day of work. Both cases are regardless of which day of the week it is.

I do like to work less at the weekend simply because of social commitments with those who work through the week.
Other than that, I think about 90% of my clients are in meetings on Monday morning to plan their week, then start writing Monday afternoon, so nothing much comes in until Tuesday. | | | | Monia Filipe Португалија Local time: 07:20 германски на португалски + ... | Friday is generally chaotic | Oct 21, 2014 |
I try not to work on the weekend, because I´m a mother and have family commitments, but normally I have to work a little bit on sunday evening. Fridays are generally very chaotic for me, every client has something very urgent for the end of the day or until monday at 8 a.m. ... On the other hand, monday and tuesday are relatively calm, so I try to rest and have some time for me on these days. | | | | neilmac Шпанија Local time: 08:20 шпански на англиски + ...
I rarely go for more than one or two days at a time without doing something vaguely work-related. My least productive day will be the one when I have least work pending in my "to-do" pile.
For example, today I don't have any "urgent" jobs in hand and am taking the opportunity to take a one PC and one laptop to my tech guy for a tweaking, which altogether will take up a few hours of my time. It involves driving to his place and back for a work-related purpose, but then again, it doesn't co... It involves driving to his place and back for a work-related purpose, but then again, it doesn't consist of sitting in front of the computer translating or doing admin, so I don't know if it can be considered "productive"...

When I worked in an office, I'd hit my stride on Wednesday and start to feel tired by Friday. Since I started freelancing and working on weekends, my days have become a blur. After a break, it takes me a couple of days to hit peak productivity.

Why is there an assumption that we work 6 days a week? I don't work on Saturday or Sunday so I suppose those would be my least productive days. | | | | Mario Chavez (X) Local time: 02:20 англиски на шпански + ... | Other: I'm always productive | Oct 21, 2014 |

I consider “productive” and “productivity” holdover words from a bygone era (as in How many bottles can you wash an hour, Tommy?). I am not a cog, a corporate pawn, an entrepreneur, solopreneur, transcreationist or any of that.
When I am not writing a translation, I'm always thinking consciously and subconsciously about other relationships among words, concepts, ideas, etc. that will impact my translation work later on. That thinking is always informed by what I read, from translation- or writing-related materials to the most disparate topics. I don't force my thinking into this or that direction; the brain does that for me 24/7.
So, in that sense, I'm always “productive” and generating the underpinnings for my next assignment, blog posting, essay or written opinion on LinkedIn (or here). I guess I don't have an off button, I'm always thinking and I like it that way.

Perhaps some place you've indicated Spanish? So the spell checker says everything in English is spelled wrong? Or turn off the spell checker? Just a suggestion from a Luddite. FWIW.
Because I choose to work the least on this day of the week and try to put my feet up.
Like Mario I tend to stay away from this word 'productive' since it does make me think as if I'm supposed to 'churn out' translation like a factory.
Sunday, however, is quality time for me since I am not interrupted and bothered by e-mails. I find this the least stressful day of the work. I prefer to describe Sundays as 'laid back' and 'fulfilling.'
Small edit

...I don't really work on Saturdays or Sundays. So I assume those would be my "least productive" days.
However, if we consider a 5-day week, Friday would be the day I close off any leftovers; also, any project that comes in on a Friday gets treated the next week. My clients are already aware of that and are most understanding and accommodating. | | | | | Страници во темата: [1 2] > | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Which is generally the least productive working day for you? | CafeTran Espresso | You've never met a CAT tool this clever!
